Job Description

The Hospice House Manager is responsible and accountable for providing Quality / No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship Responsible for safety, cost effectiveness, and quality of the Daily Operations of a 16 be Inpatient Hospice Facility.

Primary Accountabilities
Supervises all Facility staff; assumes minimal staffing levels 24/7 within Facility; performance evaluations, schedules and PL requests.
Assumes leadership/management responsibilities for other Hospice programs as assigned by Executive Director. (i.e. community outreach, Intake/Referral). Articulates needs of patients transferring between levels of care to staff (i.e. referral sources), and promotes continuity of care and communication. Implementation of NPSG such as hand off communication, medication reconciliation, patient identification, etc. Assists with community and professional relation's activities.
Effective physician relationships (communication and satisfaction), especially with Hospice House Medical Director.
Evaluates quality of care delivered by professional staff, as evidenced by medical record review (Policy 93) and implementation of Interdisciplinary interventions on the HH Care Plan for the patient/family/caregiver.
Responsible for financial management to include budget recommendations, expense approvals, contracting issues as appropriate (i.e. transportation), and being responsive to and reporting financial concerns to Executive Director monthly.
Under the direction of Hospice Executive Director, assumes implementation of and compliance with all policies and procedures, state licensing, and Medicare certification, regulations and guidelines.
Retain HH Volunteers, utilization of donations.

Qualifications

Qualifications
Diploma and Associate Degree Nurse:
five years clinical experience including two years in area of concentration and/or health care management.
Baccalaureate Degree Nurse:
three years clinical experience including two years in area of concentration and/or health care management.
Knowledge of pain management techniques, IV therapy and phlebotomy skills, infection control, and Hospice Medicare Conditions of Participation
Prior supervisory experience, to include working as part of/leading an Interdisciplinary team.
Current Florida RN license or endorsement permit
Must hold and maintain a current BLS Healthcare Provider CPR card obtained through an American Heart Association Provider.
Certification as a Hospice Palliative Care NurseEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
