Essential Functions:

We are looking for a driven mechatronic engineer to design, implement and test motion control and/or robotic integration solutions in a high precision, multi-degree of freedom environment. Work performed would be in close coordination with mechanical design, electrical, and software teams to develop motor, control, manipulation, and sensing solutions. Candidate's efforts will increase the level of automation in existing processes while developing new processes and hardware from the ground up.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant robotics and controls experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related robotics and controls experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related robotics and controls experience.
  • Active TS clearance required.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in mathematics of rotations (rotation matrices, quaternions, Euler angles, etc.) and Matlab.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with motor controls.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience developing autonomy and control logic (e.g., state machines).

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Understanding of Homogeneous Transformations (Coordinate Frame Transformations).
  • Experience with serial linkages.
  • Simulink experience.
  • LabView experience.
  • Familiarity with sensing and/or computer vision methodologies.
  • System Modeling / System Identification.
  • Experience with robotic manipulation.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
