Must have experience in the healthcare field, preferably as a medical assistant.
Experience with EMA (EMR) is a plus.
Job duties include the following:
- Serving as medical scribe during office visits, which includes the following:
- Accurately collecting patient intake and documenting medical history in the EMR - Preparing patient's charts for medical examinations by physician - Remove sutures and provide wound care - Sterilizing medical instruments - Restocking of exam rooms and lab - Answering phones, scheduling/rescheduling appointments, and checking insurance eligibility - Receiving, processing, sending referrals, getting pre-authorizations for medications - Cleaning office Applicant must have a positive attitude, be a team player, be reliable, have reliable transportation, and have adequate to strong office skills, including familiarity with hardware and software of both desktop computers and IPads.
